According to the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in their ENVISIONING INDIA 2030, the report says every year 1 million new entrants seeking employment cannot find productive work. The report Vision 2030: Universal Health Coverage for all Indian Citizen predicts 1.5 billion population in 2030, India would need 2 million doctors, 1 million specialists, 6 million nurses, 1 million hospital beds. Recognizing the huge gap in the nursing, technicians and paramedical staff, the policy suggests strengthening the health care work force by training to upscale health care profession. Bir Bikram College of Pharmacy (BBCOP) has been established in 2023,to work in focusing the multiple challenges facing the health care industry and help transform pharmacy education to the needs of well equipped and skilled professionals. As the institute is established near to the main city, students will be exposed to the green atmosphere and also will be sent for industrial training. BBCOP offers stress-free atmosphere for learning and green campus. The faculty has been chosen to emphasis on skilled practical training in a good setup. The institute offers good classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a library with large collections of books and journals, a herbal garden with a varied collection of medicinal plants.
In the era technological transformation in the field of pharmacy, there is an ever increasing need for high quality education and research institutions for producing highly trained professionals.
